Pipex have recently completed the installation of a passive rainwater harvesting system for a school in Devon, which delivers environmental and educational benefits.
Unlike traditional rainwater harvesting the Pipex system is a passive rain water system which conveys the rain directly from the roof into Pipex WC flushing tanks. The system is designed to be installed on new build or retrofit building projects.
This innovative approach is an alternative to large below ground rainwater harvesting tanks and expensive pumps. Pipex offer a range of flushing tank sizes from single units to multiple arrangements to suit project specific requirements.
For this particular project viewing ports were built into the design of the flushing tank so the pupils could monitor the amount of water used.
